(along with Blue and Yellow) reflects on how our connections and relationships shape the future. The project considers the role of thought patterns in constructing environments and imagines a future where safe spaces are dynamic rather than static. It highlights the paradox of isolation as a means to feel—both individually and collectively—examining how boundaries enable deeper connections and awareness.
This work emerged from my practical explorations in Iran and a workshop with Amir Amiri. The movements I learned evolved into a form of social practice: creating a space requires collective action, a society, a group working together to build a living structure. Simultaneously, I was making delicate sketches of imagined structures on thin paper, which became the blueprint for the final piece. Using scraps of metal, wire, threads, and textiles at home, I began constructing tunnels that could expand to their fullest and contract into hidden, flower-like forms. The design questions the length and connectivity of these tunnels, mirroring the relationships between people—how, though we share the same circle, our spaces shape the way we connect and interact with each other.
